Getting ready for 2020's big denouement? Hopefully you are all enjoying the holiday season in your own special way. Us? We're setting up new goals as you keep scoring the old ones...

$38k LITTLE TAILS cloisonné pins stretch goal unlocked! 

All backers at a physical shipping tier will now get a set of these adorable enamel pins for FREE!

So what's next...? 

Help us reach $48k and every physical tier will include a 4" leather BRINDILLE patch for FREE! We're really thrilled by how well the campaign continues to grow, so hopefully this next goal will be a great incentive for fence-sitters to join and for current backers to share their excitement in order to bring their friends and family into the fold. Let us know what you think!

But that's not the only big reveal for this update...

ORIGINAL DRAWING TIER WILL OPEN TOMORROW MORNING!

We are excited to announce that Federico Bertolucci has agreed to do up to 30 original drawings for a new pledge tier that we will be opening at 10am CST tomorrow morning!

These will be priced at $300 and the tier will include a hardcover copy of BRINDILLE (original cover) and digital download. We won't be posting it with any other bundle configurations, but you can customize your pledge to include other books using Kickstarter's add-ons when completing your pledge. (Reminder: add-ons will also be available through Backerkit after the campaign has ended.)

These will be on 8x10" art boards, a perfect size to tip into your copy of BRINDILLE. You will be able to request what you'd like sketched, selected from a list of subjects Federico is readily familiar with: Any characters from Brindille, animals from any Love book, Chipper and Squizzo, or even Mickey or Donald (seeing as how he has added those to his published repertoire lately). Federico is hard at work on his next big project so his generous offer really does make this something special. Limiting the subject matter to things he is immediately familiar with will help make the task easier to fulfill.

These could go quickly, so we want to give everyone a fair shot -- the tier will be added to the campaign at 10am CST tomorrow morning, Wednesday December 23rd. We chose to announce it ahead of time rather than posting them immediately so that folks with the most interest can have a fair shot at them at the same time.

LOVE SERIES 10th ANNIVERSARY TRAILER

We're also excited to reveal this world-premiere trailer for the LOVE series box set! We were all rather surprised (and embarrassed to just now realize) that 2021 marks the tenth anniversary of the first book in the series, LOVE: THE TIGER! So the Boxed set offering suddenly took on a whole new special aspect, one that deserved a trailer of its own. Check it out!

We're so proud of this wonderful series, and hope you agree that it is an ongoing classic that deserves a spot on everyone's shelf. :)

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! It has been quite a wild week -- yesterday marked the third record-breaking day in a row for us, with our best day-3 to date! THANK YOU!  We can't express how grateful we are for your support, and we're thrilled to see all of the excitement gathering behind it!

We're also excited to debut the WORLD PREMIERE TRAILER VIDEO for LOVE: THE MASTIFF... and we're debuting it here for you backers first!!!

This book covers all the feels (a hallmark of every story in the series), and we think this trailer captures the tone of this particular entry pretty perfectly.

We have some more videos lined up to share in future posts, so buckle up -- this ride is just starting! :D

Another stretch goal unlocked! And a set of LOVE: THE MASTIFF preview pages!

Hi everyone!

What a great second (and-a-half) day! You really made short work of the $28k stretch goal -- COLLECTIBLE COIN UNLOCKED! And the next goal revealed!

For the coin, we couldn't decide on which design to go with -- the sword seemed very cool and iconic, but the figures really capture the book. So we decided to go with BOTH designs, one on each side. :) While the coins from our previous campaigns feature the Magnetic logo one one side and the featured title on the other, this one will be unique on both sides. The image above is just a photoshop mockup, and the figures will be fully sculpted in bas relief from Federico's 2D artwork (like our previous campaign coins), so it will be nice. We're excited for it!

The next goal also has us excited: a pair of enamel cloisonné pins featuring Chipper and Squizzo, the title characters in the LITTLE TAILS series! 

We're willing to bet most of you aren't familiar with the characters or the series, but we really hope to change that with this campaign. The books are FABULOUS and ADORABLE, and kids around the world just love them! They're perfect read-along and bedtime books, and a great series to encourage reading and exploration. We'll be spotlighting LITTLE TAILS a bit more in the days ahead!

Hi everybody!

Wow, we were excited to reveal this project, and were reeeeeaally nervous putting it all together these past few weeks. No matter how many times we do this (nine so far, if anyone is counting), we are always a nervous wreck the night before launch. What if I'm the only one who thinks this project is awesome? What if everybody is more interested in the bajillion other projects currently running on Kickstarter? Everyone says "don't run a Kickstarter over the December holidays"... Will anyone show up? Urgh.

Thankfully and graciously, however, you all doused those worries like a firehose to a candle! This was our BEST DAY ONE YET! All of these books (and Fred and Fed) definitely deserve the kudos, and we're hoping to continue that momentum with your support all the way to the finish line on January 7th! 

Even before the stroke of midnight, you had already unlocked the first two stretch goals -- upgraded interior paper and design elements, and all physical backers now get a bonus 8.5x11" cardstock print of BRINDILLE by Federico Bertolucci!

Then, by the time we woke up in the morning, you had unlocked the bonus production sketchbook, too! This 6x9" saddle-stitched sketchbook full of Federico's production designs will also be FREE TO EVERYONE AT A PHYSICAL TIER!

Next up: the Challenge Coin!

We're excited to keep that tradition rolling -- we've made coins for each of our last three campaigns and hope to do the same for all of them moving forward. We have three different designs in mind for this one, so we are just trying to pick the best one before revealing it... hopefully that decision gets forced upon us soon!

We'll be revealing more unlockable stretch goals and incentives in the next few days, so stay tuned!

A word about Add-ons...

Some of you may have noticed a difference in the pledge process this time around. Kickstarter has introduced a new "Add-ons" feature that we are helping to beta test, and we're curious what your experience has been with it so far. This is not going to replace the post-campaign Add-ons that we offer through Backerkit -- you will have both opportunities to customize your package before and after the campaign ends. So while you can certainly add extra books to your original Kickstarter pledge here, some other items won't be made available until after the campaign ends: unlocked stretch goal items, digital versions of previously-released titles, etc. 

Whether you have your eyes on something extra now or plan to add something later, you are very free to increase your pledge accordingly in Kickstarter now, while the campaign is still running! That will help us unlock more stretch goals for everyone to enjoy! Any extra funds in your account will be available in Backerkit as credit that can be used towards shipping charges or any other extra items you decide to add later.
