Overdue shipping update: Packages are on their way!

Hi everyone!

Sorry for such an extended lapse between updates -- the past 10 days have been an absolute roller coaster... not to get too much into personal life stuff, but my stunt-pilot father was in an airplane crash last week and while he's recovering fine now (thank God), it sort of preoccupied our focus for most of the week. As if that wasn't enough of an event, we also revealed our new gaming imprint Magnetic Press Play to the world, with even more big news to be announced very soon (like next week)... 

But that's all neither here nor there as far as BRINDILLE is concerned. Because as of next week, all of the orders will be shipped!

95% of US and Canada orders have already gone out. If you are from those territories, you may have already gotten your tracking notification from Quartermaster. (Some of you may have even gotten yours...?) A handful may still be waiting for scheduled pickup to leave on Monday.

UK and EU orders will be shipped to Spiral Galaxy in the UK on Monday. They will arrive there in roughly 1-2 weeks (depending on ongoing freight congestion). Fulfillment could begin the week of 8/23, but we'll have a more accurate ETA once the shipment leaves QML.

Australia and New Zealand orders will also be shipped to Aetherworks in Australia on Monday. Pretty much the same estimated timetable as UK and EU pending freight congestion. We'll update everyone along the way.

Asia orders will also ship out to VFI for fulfillment on Monday. I apologize, I'm not sure where VFI is located at the moment, but they are the hub for most Asian destinations. Same timetable as UK and Australia.

We know that this campaign has taken longer than anyone expected (ourselves most of all), but we think and hope you'll be pleased with everything. This was definitely our biggest Kickstarter in terms of the number of bonus stretch goal items and the variety of backlist titles offered. There were more Skus to pack in this campaign than our previous three campaigns combined! Thank you for your patience and your support!

Ambassador Points can now be redeemed for Gift Cards!

Hope you're starting a nice weekend -- just a quick note (in case you didn't get a message in your email inbox):

Ambassador Points can now be redeemed for Gift Cards!

What does this mean and why should you care?

We know that shipping (especially international shipping) can be expensive these days, so we wanted to find a way to make those points a bit more useful. So we're running a test program until July 20th wherein Gift Cards are now available in the menu of ways points can be redeemed.

Why are gift cards better than discount codes?

1. Gift Cards act as Credit at checkout meaning they apply to the bottom line total, including shipping and taxes!
2. They do not take up the discount code slot, so they can be used in combination with other discount codes!
3. They can be used on anything in the store!
4. They can be transferred or gifted to a friend or loved one!

So if you haven't registered to take advantage of the Points Earned during the Kickstarter campaign, there's even more incentive to do so!

If you're unsure what your balance is, or if you're not even sure if you have registered, just go to https://store.magnetic-press.com/#smile-home  and log in or sign up using the email address associated with your Kickstarter account, and you should find points waiting for you. (If not, send us a message and we can help get you sorted.)

Please note: you redeem points for Gift Cards in the Ambassador Point app -- not by adding a Gift Card to your cart like a purchased item!

If you don't have enough points for a Gift Card yet, there are many ways to earn points: Share or Follow us on Facebook or Twitter, place an order, or just celebrate a birthday! You earn 10 points for every dollar spent on the store, so they can add up quickly!

If this test run works out, we hope to make other exclusive items available for points: exclusive prints, Tees, and bling (coins, maybe...?) that will only be available using points... We've got lots of plans!

HOW TO REDEEM AND THEN USE A GIFT CARD:

1) From your Ambassador Point dashboard, select "Ways to Redeem" and select a gift card. It will say "View" to see the item/offer.

2) Click "Redeem" to complete the transaction.

3) You will then see a discount code that will make the Gift Card free at checkout. You must "Add product to cart" for the code to work! (The "Add to cart" button will turn into a checkmark if/when successfully added.)

4) The discount code will be automatically applied to your cart, making the item FREE. You can have other items in the cart, too -- the discount will just make that Gift Card item free.

5) When you complete the order, your Gift Card will be emailed to you. It will contain a unique number. If you wish to share or send this Gift Card to a friend, simply forward them the email. The unique number is not tied to any account and can be used by anyone, so keep it secure!

6) To use the Gift Card number, enter it in the "Gift Card or discount code" box the next time you check out.

7) Voila! The discount code box should still be there to add another discount (unless you have a bundle in your cart... those take up the discount slot). When you're finished, simply proceed to complete your transaction.

Hi everyone!

Happy July 4th weekend (for those of you in the States; "Happy Saturday" for everyone else)!

Just a quick update to let everyone know all of the books, stretch goal items, etc are on their way to Quartermaster now, and while we fully expected them to have been delivered this past week, some heat/weather-related delays with the trucking company pushed that delivery to this coming week. But QML is standing by and ready to start packing boxes immediately, so we're hoping all shipments will start going out the week of the 12th.  That includes the bulk shipments to their EU, AU, UK, and Asia hubs, who will process and ship those regional orders as soon as those shipments arrive. 

We'll keep you all posted! July is going to be a busy month! Thanks for your patience!

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all getting ready for a great weekend. We just wanted to let everyone know a couple of updates:

1) final order data has been sent to Quartermaster for fulfillment!

So if you haven't filled out your surveys (I'm looking at the 18 of you who haven't responded to our many, many reminders), please do so ASAP! Message us if you are having trouble accessing Backerkit and we'll try to help. Once Quartermaster starts shipping packages out, late straggling shipping costs get individually expensive...

If you have filled out your surveys but find that you need to make a last-minute adjustment to the shipping address, message us ASAP! Once they start packing orders in the next week or two, it will be too late.

2) Ambassador Points have been awarded!

As a reminder: everyone who pledged to the campaign will receive a number of Ambassador Points equivalent to their final pledge. What are Ambassador Points?  They're reward points that can be collected and redeemed for discount codes on our webstore, and a great way to get even more stuff for supporting Magnetic Press! 

If you are already a webstore customer and part of the program, just log into your webstore account (which should be the same email address as your Kickstarter/Backerkit account). There, you should see those new points added to your balance.

If you don't have an account on our webstore, your points have been entered, but you will need to complete registration to use them. :) 

• You may receive an invitation email with your personal link soon, but in the meantime, if you'd like to set up an account manually, just go to store.magnetic-press.com and click on the Ambassador Point button on the lower left of the screen to register.

• Click on that button and then click "Join now" or "sign in" using the email account associated with your Kickstarter/Backerkit account to be sure your points are there when you register.

It's really as simple as that! You'll see your current point total, the next available reward, your points history, and other information such as how to earn more and other rewards to redeem. If you have already redeemed points for a discount code, those will be waiting under "Your rewards" for quick and easy access!

If you don't see your points waiting after registering, you may be completely new to our webstore system entirely. Just message us and we'll add your points manually right away!

And if you want to sign up using a different email address, just message us and we'll look up your points based on your Kickstarter email address.

There are many simple ways to earn points -- following us on social media, sharing your purchases, having a birthday -- and there are SO MANY AMAZING BOOKS to discover! You will definitely find something to spend those points on! :D We're working on new exclusive rewards soon (challenge coin display maybe...?) so sign up and stay tuned!

Hi everyone!

We're happy to say that ALL DIGITAL REWARDS ARE BEING SENT OUT THROUGH BACKERKIT starting today!

You all should have received notification from Backerkit with links and instructions for your digital items.

For most of you, that will include the full book PDFs and the sketchbook PDF.

The full book is being provided through Gumroad -- your Backerkit notification will explain the (very simple) instructions for downloading your copy from them for free.

The sketchbook PDF can actually be downloaded directly from your Backerkit account. Just log into your account at brindille.backerkit.com and you should see a button at the very top center of your personal page that says "Get your Digital Downloads." 

If you have any questions or problems with the process, just send us a message. It's pretty simple and has worked quite well on our previous campaigns.

The physical items will begin shipping soon, likely towards the end of this month. WE've received the sketches and bookplates from Federico and Ben Caldwell, and we're now just waiting on the final assembly and shrinkwrapping of the slipcase sets. That shouldn't take too long, we're coordinating with Quartermaster, so they will be ready to roll right away!

There are still 24 physical order backers who haven't filled out your surveys. We have resent notifications to those few so PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL AND YOUR BACKERKIT TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE NOT ONE OF THEM! If you haven't filled out your survey when we start shipping at the end of this month, we may need to make special arrangements which could get very expensive (for both of us)...  We'd like to think that 4 months of reminders should be plenty of time to take care of it...

If you're not sure if you have filled out your survey or not, just log into your account at brindille.backerkit.com to confirm. Be sure you are logging in with the email address used to sign into your Kickstarter account at the time of the campaign. If you changed your Kickstarter email address, that information does not get forwarded to us. If that is the case, send us a message and we will look it up for you and update your account manually.

Soon we will assign everyone their Ambassador Points, but that's a whole other process. We'll have more news on that later this week!
