Latest Updates from Our Project:

Survey reminders, coins, original Ben Caldwell art, and a peek at what's next!
about 3 years ago – Sat, Apr 03, 2021 at 04:37:27 AM

Hi everyone!

We've been spinning plates these days making sure all of our projects are rolling along smoothly, and while that has meant a few weeks since our last update on BRINDILLE, it doesn't mean nothing has been going on! For starters, we creeping up on our Backerkit survey deadline, which we are now declaring to be NEXT FRIDAY APRIL 9th at roughly 5pm CST. That is when your orders will be locked and your credit cards will be charged for any balance due.

If you haven't filled out your Backerkit surveys yet (there are 62 of you who have not), please do so by that time so we can confirm accurate item counts in preparation for shipping in May. If you aren't sure if you have yet or aren't sure how to do so, just go to brindille.backerkit.com and log in using the email address associated with your Kickstarter account, and you should be taken directly to your personal Backerkit page. Answer any questions and provide any information requested. Don't worry if you aren't sure about your final shipping address -- you will be able to modify your address up until we lock for final shipping. (We'll give you plenty of advance warning.) That will likely be around May 1st.

Note: if you were one of the generous backers who supported the campaign with just a tip or with no reward selected, please consider filling out the survey anyway. You're still eligible to add items in case you've perhaps changed your mind about something. :)

The campaign feedback survey ends next Friday, too!

A lot of you have filled out our questionnaire following the campaign already, and we really appreciate all of the excellent feedback. If you haven't filled out the questionnaire yet, please do! We are leaving it open until next Friday (the same deadline as the Backerkit survey), at which time we will select one responder at random to receive a $25 Amazon Gift Card! Seriously, no joke, we've awarded Amazon Gift Cards for our first three campaign questionnaires already... its a legit prize! Plus, we will give $.50 Backerkit credit to everyone who takes the survey. Just a small token of our appreciation. :)

Just go to this page and let us know what you thought of the campaign (among other things related to your comic buying habits):

Click or scan the QR code to go to the questionnaire.

The manufacturer is finishing up the challenge coins and sent this photo proof -- looking pretty nice!

That's the last bit of manufactured swag left to come in. We'll be ordering all of the printed bonus items (prints, sketchbook, etc) next week. Those are printed locally, so they won't take long at all. We'll share pix as they come together! Regardless, we should be well on track for May shipping!

Production samples are rolling in...! Pix inside!
about 3 years ago – Sat, Mar 13, 2021 at 01:08:06 AM

Hi everyone!

Hope you are ending a great week and are ramping into a great weekend. We've been super-busy plotting the future (as usual), but it has been an awesome week of milestones on the BRINDILLE/LOVE campaign! We got production samples of more of the bonus items and the first advance copies of both books AND the slipcases!

Check out the flood of pix below!

Advance copies of both versions of BRINDILLE:

Limited edition campaign exclusive Ben Caldwell cover

The speedlines are spot-glossed so they "move" when you tilt the book! :D

Regular retail edition with cover by Federico Bertolucci

Copies of LOVE: THE MASTIFF

Brand new section in the back about climate change and ways you can help fight global warming!

Advance copies of BOTH SLIPCASE BOXES:

Metallic red foil logos!

Plus: Three of the stretch goal items are finishing production:

LOVE Cloisonne pin
Brindille (faux-)leather patch
LITTLE TAILS cloisonné pin set on backing card

We're still waiting on the BRINDILLE coin prototype and we still have to layout some of the printed bonus items (like the sketchbook), but we'll keep you posted on all of that progress. As it stands, everything is right on track to start shipping in May!

Update + LAST 24 HOURS IN OUR MONOLITH CAMPAIGN!
about 3 years ago – Fri, Mar 05, 2021 at 11:33:27 AM

Hi everyone!

It has been a little since our last update -- it's not for any neglect, things on this project are just progressing nicely at the printer and factories so there isn't much to report until things start to roll in. We did get a picture of bonus LOVE patches this week --

Turned out nice!

The enamel pins, leather patch, and other items are all in various stage of production and revision too (there were some color errors on the LITTLE TAILS pins...), but we'll share pix and updates as they come in!

In the meantime... ONLY 24 hours left to back MONOLITH!

Our current campaign was picked by Kickstarter as their COMIC OF THE DAY, and sat at the top of their Featured Items all day long...

If you haven't checked it out yet, head over to www.monolith-comic.com (which is just a fancy redirect to the campaign page). There are some GREAT books there, some already-unlocked freebies, and some EXTREMELY limited-edition items that are almost gone! Plus: it's all LRNZ's art, and that guy is, like, a genius.

If you have checked it out and hopped on board: Thank you! Finish line is in sight!

Backerkit reminder -- Switching tiers
about 3 years ago – Thu, Feb 11, 2021 at 10:53:23 PM

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're having a good week. Ours has been quite an emotional roller coaster... we're ready for the weekend! (And hopefully a cozy, quiet Valentine's Day dinner on Sunday...)

We just wanted to touch base with a few notes about Backerkit:

  • 88% of you have already filled out your surveys... thanks! The other 134 of you, please take a few minutes to fill yours out when you have a chance. :) Just go to brindille.backerkit.com and log-in with your Kickstarter address to get started. All of your info is there waiting for you!
  • We have added the pre-registration prints to those of you who signed up on our website before launch. If you ended up only backing at a digital level, and don't want to pay the shipping for this one bonus print, let us know and we will manually remove it from your order, no problem. ;)
  • If you filled out the post-campaign interest survey and are wondering where your $.50 credit is, we will assign that to the accounts of those who replied in late March, before orders are locked. If you haven't filled out the survey, please do! We value your input!
  • Lastly -- and this is the big one -- we also made it so that you can switch pledge tiers in Backerkit. Normally, we don't allow this, but we had many requests from people who backed at a digital level who wish to upgrade to a print bundle, and this was the best way to offer that. Please note, however: we cannot refund any funds already collected by Kickstarter! So if you downgrade to a less expensive tier, those remaining funds will still be in your account as non-refundable credit. That's just how it works -- Kickstarter has already taken their cut of everything, those charges have already cleared, and their policy is no-refunds. But please, feel free to upgrade if a higher-priced tier makes more sense to you!

You have plenty of time to make adjustments, mull over add-ons, and assemble the final order package that your heart desires. We won't lock orders until April 2nd.

That's all for now! Message us if you have any questions! Thanks!

Production in process, plus MONOLITH launching on Tuesday!
about 3 years ago – Sun, Feb 07, 2021 at 02:26:21 PM

Hi everyone!

We've been working with the printer on finalizing everything for BRINDILLE, LOVE: THE MASTIFF, and the limited slipcase box sets this week in an effort to get everything rolling and approved before Chinese New Year, and its all looking great! We also placed the orders for all of the bonus items -- the lapel pins, the collectible coin, the patches, etc, etc. Things are rolling full steam ahead!

But if you've been following us so far, you know we can't slow down... we've also been hard at work getting ready for our next awesome campaign launching on Tuesday!

MONOLITH BY LRNZ AND RECCHIONI!

We're following up our 2016 campaign for LRNZ's VIEWPOINT artbook with a feature-length, oversized hardcover graphic novel stunningly painted by visionary graphic designer LRNZ (GOLEM, VIEWPOINT) and written by ROBERTO RECCHIONI (ORPHANS). It is a cinematic, psychological thriller for the digital age!

It's "BLACK MIRROR" meets "BREAKDOWN"!

This project was hinted at in the pages of VIEWPOINT, but we're excited to present the completed project in a gorgeous oversized gallery edition! If you're familiar with LRNZ's work, you know you can expect a dazzling variety of graphical styles, designs, and storytelling that perfectly exploit the unique abilities of comic book art. DIfferent styles used to capture different mental states, etc. It is really powerful, outstanding stuff.

Make no mistake, this is a rated-R movie, but one that you will want to "watch" over and over and over again.

The campaign is also offering the last 400 copies of LRNZ's GOLEM, as well as copies of the original, 200-page VIEWPOINT Art book and a brand new Limited Edition Box Set of ORPHANS Season One!

All kinds of cool stuff to be revealed... don't miss out!

And if you pre-register your pledge today, you can get a bonus linen-cardstock print by LRNZ added to your order FREE !

8.5x11" linen cardstock print by LRNZ (promotional image from GOLEM)

Just visit www.monolith-comic.com to register before the campaign launches on Tuesday to get one of these beautiful prints added to your order at no extra cost.

We'll be showcasing a TON of LRNZ's beautiful work created in the 4 years since the VIEWPOINT campaign, so please mark your calendars and join us for the launch and video premiere on Tuesday the 9th at 10am CST and help us have a great day-one launch!

But wait... another Kickstarter? You just finished up the last one!

Yes. And aside from a few hiccups that we're learning from and improving upon, things have been rolling quite smoothly! :)

Kickstarter has proven to be a fantastic way to bring premium quality content to you, a very discerning and supportive audience, directly, with the built-in ability to offer so much more for your support. You really have nothing to worry about as far as the BRINDILLE and LOVE campaign is concerned -- production is well-in-hand and sailing smoothly toward our planned shipping schedule. We're not going to disappear on you -- this is what we do, and have done for several years and multiple other campaigns so far! We love Kickstarter and the people we meet here. And as different as each project may be from the last, we think there is an underlying similarity that will hopefully appeal to everyone who has joined us along the way.

So please pre-register for your FREE print today and mark the campaign page for launch notification! We really could use -- and totally appreciate -- all of your support for a great day one!
